Refuge: Online Literary Journal

My friends,

In this unprecendented time, when philanthrophic efforts must be reshaped to respect lockdown regulations, I believe art and literature are beautiful ways to reflect on compassion and empathise with those in need ♡

For a long while, I've been working to co-establish an online literary journal. The vision of the journal is to publish work that responds to and advocates for the work of organisations in crisis areas around the world. Each issue will partner with a different organisation working for community relief and recovery.

For our inaugural issue, for Lebanon, we are privileged to partner with Horizons International, an NGO providing support in the worsening economic downturn, coronavirus pandemic and devastating explosions in Beirut.

Refuge accepts poetry, prose and art. Our submission period begins today (4th Dec 2020) and continues until mid-February. We would be honoured if you would consider submitting.

As our submission fee, we ask that a minimum of £4 is directly donated to Horizons International via their website. Details on how to submit can be found on the webpage here: Refuge Online Journal.
